Collection: Combination Skin

Combination skin is one face with two different habits. By midday the forehead, nose and chin start to shine, while the cheeks have felt tight since cleansing. Routines written for oily skin dry those cheeks out; rich creams meant for dry skin sit heavily on the T-zone.

The working rule is simple: hydration is chosen for the whole face, the final layer zone by zone. Everyday steps therefore call for light textures that can be built up — and that is how the makers themselves describe them: one Korean brand lists its moisturizing cream as feeling “light weight, fresh and fluffy”, good for sensitive and all other skin types, and made for easy layering. A texture like that never forces a choice between the cheeks and the T-zone: where skin runs drier, you simply add another layer.

Midday shine is handled not by a thicker cream but by a format whose only job it is. One maker describes its loose mineral powder this way: it absorbs excess sebum and “instantly reduces oil for a fresh, translucent finish”, leaving skin “naturally matte—never heavy or cakey”; the advice is to use it as the last step and reapply through the day when skin starts to look oily. For combination skin that means the T-zone gets care of its own while the cheeks are spared the drying.
