Retinal booster cream for wrinkles and pores
Celimax The Vita-A Retinal Shot Tightening Booster is a concentrated evening treatment that targets wrinkles, uneven texture and enlarged pores for smoother, firmer skin.
Key ingredients
- Retinal 0.1% in nano-liposomes: activates in the skin faster than retinol, says Celimax.
- A-Shot™ (hydrolyzed sponge): natural micro-spicules that help vitamin A reach deeper. A slight tingle is normal.
- Matrixyl® 3000 (3%): patented Sederma peptides for elasticity.
- Panthenol 1%: soothes the skin and helps protect its barrier, according to Celimax.
Skin type
All skin types. Patch test before first use.
How to use
In the evening, toward the end of your routine (after serums), apply a thin layer to areas of concern. Your moisturizer can go on before or after it. Celimax recommends the following, depending on your experience with retinol or retinal:
- New to retinol or retinal: just a tiny amount, about the size of a grain of rice. For the first month, use it 1–2 evenings a week, then 3–4 evenings a week if your skin feels comfortable.
- Used retinol or retinal before: a pea-sized amount, every other evening for the first month, then 5–6 evenings a week, depending on how your skin responds.
- Regular retinol or retinal user: a thin layer on areas of concern or all over the face; you can use it every evening.
- With the Retinol Shot serum: two weeks of serum alone, then add the booster. Use them on different evenings: Celimax's calendar has the booster on two evenings a week and the serum on the others. For beginners, for example: the serum on Monday and Friday, the booster on Wednesday and Sunday.
- The morning after each use: apply sunscreen as the last step.
Even if your skin shows no irritation, don't increase the amount or frequency ahead of schedule: a reaction can appear later. For dry or sensitive skin, Celimax suggests sticking to 1–2 evenings a week.
Good to know
Temporary redness or flaking may appear while your skin adjusts. If it does, apply a smaller amount less often and add a soothing moisturizer. If redness or a sensation of heat persists for several days despite moisturizing, stop using it. Avoid the eye area. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Use high-strength vitamin C, scrubs and exfoliants on different days from the booster. After a laser treatment, wait 3–4 days, then start with a small amount. Store in a cool place (Celimax recommends 3–10 °C), away from direct sunlight.
