“Where skincare meets makeup” is how Korean brand Missha sums itself up: a hybrid of the two, rooted in natural ingredients and traditional Korean fermentation in clay onggi jars. Owned by Seoul-based Able C&C, it started online in the early 2000s on the Beautynet portal and opened its first shop in 2002, next to Ewha Womans University.
Missha follows three principles: only essential ingredients, chosen for results; its own absorption technology; and customer-led research that verifies efficacy and safety. The brand names the Time Revolution line and its BB cream as its signature products.
Missha BB cream, cushion and powder: shades and application
Missha presents the M Perfect Cover BB Cream as makeup, skincare and sun protection in one step, with SPF 42 PA+++ and medium-to-high coverage. Shades are sorted by depth (fair to deep) and undertone (cool, neutral, warm or olive). For example:

Available shades may vary by retailer, the brand notes. The formula is grey-based: skin, Missha explains, is a mix of red, yellow and shadow tones, and overly saturated shades may make the complexion look darker or redder over time; grey helps balance that. Apply the BB cream by hand as the last skincare step: a thin layer all over, from the centre outwards, then build up where needed.
Magic Cushion Moist Up (SPF 50+ PA+++) goes on thin and hydrating, with a smooth, radiant finish, Missha says; one or two light presses of the puff into the cushion are enough for the whole face. Airy Pot is a very light pressed powder for a natural matte finish without cakiness or white flashback in photos. Let your base settle for about ten minutes, the brand suggests, then sweep the powder lightly over the T- or U-zone, where makeup often gets shiny.
Missha skincare at a glance
Time Revolution, the flagship skincare line, is built on fermentation: Missha’s “extreme + cold + heat” process. Vita C Plus uses Missha’s Vita C Liposome Formula: vitamin C, a vitamin C derivative and phospholipids to help deliver them to the skin.
