Gege Bear is a Chinese makeup brand that started in 2020 and works in one register: soft pastels, plush-toy shapes, a coquettish sweetness it makes no apology for. Lips are where it concentrates — glosses, tints, a heart-shaped lipstick in a pastel click-pen. What it sets out to make are everyday things that look as good on a shelf as on a face, and that a person will actually want to show.
