Zero is Medicube's line for pores and blackheads. The brand puts it plainly: a formula built on AHA, BHA and PHA together with patented pore-care ingredients, made to lift dead skin cells, clear sebum and minimise the look of pores.
The three acids are not interchangeable. AHA (glycolic) works on the surface and evens out texture. BHA (salicylic) goes into the pore itself and unclogs it. PHA (gluconolactone) is the mildest of the three and renews the skin with minimal irritation. That is why the formulas carry them side by side rather than one instead of another.
The line is arranged as a routine and starts at the cleansing end of it. The cleansing oil is 90.6% plant oils — eleven of them — and turns milky on contact with water, so sebum, blackheads and makeup come off in a single step. The mud mask rests on five clays of different particle sizes, among them bentonite, Canadian colloidal clay and kaolin; the drying is deliberately short, a formula the brand calls "3-minute Quick Dry", and once the mask is completely dry it rinses off with lukewarm water.
The pads are dual-textured, and that is the point of them: the textured side lifts dead skin and refines texture, the smooth side hydrates, soothes and prepares the skin for the rest of the routine. The toner does two jobs at once — it keeps sebum and pore buildup in check while putting moisture back.
Medicube recommends the line for enlarged-looking pores, excess oil, rough texture and the appearance of blackheads.
